DOLCE & GABBANA X SMEG: Dolce & Gabbana and SMEG join creative forces to create “Sicily is my Love”, a new and unique project made in Italy. Traditional Sicilian craftsmanship is the inspiration for the decoration of the 10-cup programmable coffee maker. This wonderful object is adorned in the manner of bummuli and quattare, typical Sicilian terracotta vases painted in the same style as the traditional cart, decorated with silkscreen printing and lithography.
 The decoration of the coffee machine is taken from the tradition of Catania cart painting, surmounted by a series of cartocci, decorations similar to stylised acanthus leaves. Dominating the composition is a baroque mask in the centre. In the lower register, an oval cameo presents a typical Sicilian theme. Finally, an exquisite geometric embroidery pattern, called catenella, crowns the entire piece, making it truly special.
